We are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper/Administrator for the Hamilton area. Daily tasks include accounting software utilization to process invoices, journal entries, AP and AR, bank reconciliations and deposits, answering phones, greeting guests, supporting the team with administrative tasks, as well as other duties.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, and be able to pivot to a more customer-focused mindset when needed. They will have strong written and verbal communication skills, a willingness to learn and assist where they can, and a strong knowledge of Quickbooks or Quickbooks-related software.

Advantages
- $24 - $28 per hour
- Full-time, permanent, in-office
- Monday to Friday - 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with a 30 min unpaid lunch break (37.5 hrs/week)
- Full benefits after 3 months
- Banked time structure
- 6 personal days
- 2 weeks vacation
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping:
- Utilizing accounting software, which processes invoicing, AP and AR
- Journal entries
- Bank reconciliations
- Oversee and manage current and past accounts
- Assist and support the accounting supervisor
- Payroll (automated)
- Bank deposits
Admin/Reception:
- Answering phones
- Greeting guests
- Filing
- Supporting the team with various administrative-related tasks
Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in bookkeeping
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Quickbooks or quickbooks equivalent
- Highly organized and analytical, with a strong attention to detail
- Professional, friendly, willing to learn, be part of a team, jump in where needed
